Leadership Training
In order to open new frontiers COH leaders must have: vision, commitment, an understanding of their unique calling, and the competencies or skills that permit their leadership to excel. High school campers get challenged with new experiences designed to transform them into leaders for Christ. Through service projects, team building activities, time in God’s word, and an off site team trip, campers will be molded into a team of students growing to be spiritually mature leaders. This ministry is divided into three levels. Each level is a two-week program. All students, regardless of age, will start at the first (Nehemiah) level – which is foundational for their advancement.
Our high school leadership training program is carefully designed to mold campers into the future staff of Camp Orchard Hill! The Core is divided into three distinct, purposeful levels and runs in two-week sessions. Each session is sized to create an intimate family atmosphere for effective team building and Biblical training. Through on and off-site service projects, campers learn to carry on the standards and traditions of COH while creating memories and cultivating friendships that will last a lifetime. Campers are attracted to the extended stay and special privileges of The Core, but they leave their two weeks with a sense of ownership, accomplishment, and the spiritual maturity that comes with servant leadership.

What participants are saying:
It has been a dream to work at camp and I will most definitely will be applying to be a counselor!
I loved being behind the scenes of camp and taking my turn of making everything happen for the campers like so many others did for me when I was a camper.
My session became so close. We still talk almost everyday and we spend time together even though we live hours apart.
