derekDerek Hodne

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Derek’s long history and love of Camp Orchard Hill began in 1980. His dad, Dwight Hodne, was the first Director of the camp and Derek spent the first two years of his life on the grounds of COH. He began working on staff in 1996 and continued for 8 years as a Counselor, Assistant Program Director and then Program Director until 2002.

Derek graduated from Philadelphia Biblical University in 2002 with a degree in Biblical Studies and Elementary Education. For the last four years, Derek has been teaching at Somerset Christian Academy in Somerset, NJ and staying involved in camping during the summers. He spent the summer of 2005 as the Program Director at Camp Boulder Run.

Derek is very excited about COH and uses a great program, the soda Moxie, and his amazing kazoo playing ability to build relationships with campers and staff. “I love seeing the same kids year after year and watching them experience God in new ways. Camp is all about relationships – with campers, with the staff and most importantly with our Savior Jesus Christ.”

jodyJody Dutton

COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR

Jody has been affiliated with camp since 1996. Five of her summers have been spent playing various roles ranging from support staff to day camp activity leader in the summer of 2006. Her role as Community Services Director enables her to work with the day camp program in the summer and develop community programs for the fall, winter, and spring.

lisaLisa Stull

FOOD SERVICES DIRECTOR

Lisa joins Camp Orchard Hill after 24 years of quite a diverse array of careers. From auto claims handling for a large insurance company to banquet manager for a country club to nurses assistant at a Catholic facilty caring for elderly nuns - she is quite sure that "for such a time as this", Camp Orchard Hill is the place for her to hang her hat. In January of 2004 she found out that office she had worked in for a sum total of seventeen years would be closing in March. If that weren't big news enough for the family - they found out that Lisa and her husband Mark were expecting their fourth child - joining Sara 19, Rachel 11 and Rebecca 10. So on September 20, 2004, Isaiah Michael Stull arrived and life in the Stull house hasn't been the same since.

Lisa considers "ministry" to be 24 hours, 7 days a week, and likes to say that serving the Lord is "the air we breathe". Being able to use her time and talents that God has given her to help provide for her family is just another unexpected blessing and provision from her Provider. Lisa says, "two things I've come to know about working - do what you love- you'll do it well and it won't really feel like work and get along with the people you work with - you'll spend more time with them than your family. I know that I've found both at Camp Orchard Hill."
