Winter Blast 2012
When you come to Winterblast, you have tons of choices. You can get your sports fix playing basketball, volleyball, soccer and dodgeball in the gym. On the COH gridiron, there’s the annual snow football battle! If you feel the need for speed, you can go careening down our sled hill or go flying across the ice on Lake Manjo’s tube run! Or, maybe you’d rather stay indoors and rock some karaoke or display your pingpong, foosball, and pool skills. And, last but not least, every meal at COH is a party with Lisa’s famous food and our crazy lunchtime challenges!
Last year, our theme focused on awakening from apathy-REVIVE! This year, we want to encourage the students with the following truths from Romans 8:28-39 (MSG).
"God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him. After God made that decision of what his children should be like, he followed it up by calling people by name. After he called them by name, he set them on a solid basis with himself. And then, after getting them established, he stayed with them to the end, gloriously completing what he had begun."
So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn't hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn't gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God's chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ's love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture:
They kill us in cold blood because they hate you.
We're sitting ducks; they pick us off one by one.
None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I'm absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God's love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.

Sixteen Cities
Sixteen Cities is a Christian Alternative/ Pop band from Portland, Oregon. They love to travel the land and play music for everyone.
Andy Cherry
Singer - songwriter Andy Cherry has a passion to share his life story with everyone through his music.
Cherry’s song “Revivals Fire” was chosen from over 750 submissions to be a part of The Catalyst Music Project, a collaborative project by INO Records and Catalyst featuring twelve inspirational tracks produced by Nathan Nockels (Phillips, Craid, & Dean, Passion, and Matt Redman). Other artists featured on Catalyst include Fee, Laura Story, and Phil Wickham. According to Jesus Freak Hideout, “Perhaps the best song on the record (Catalyst Music Project), ‘Revival's Fire,’ performed by Andy Cherry, is an example of the direction worship has been heading in, with an infectious sound and profound lyric.”
Cherry recreated “Revival’s Fire” with Stephen Gause (Laura Story, Downhere, Dave Barnes, Jeff LeBlanc, and Paul Reeves) for his City of Light EP release in July, 2010. The music on City of Light will take you on a voyage to uncover the one and only God through a blend of pop music and inspirational lyrics. While recording for his EP, Cherry caught the ear of Provident Music. In the summer of 2010, he joined the Provident Music family of talented artists including Third Day, Casting Crowns, Brandon Heath, Tenth Avenue North and many others. His new material will cut deep to the core and take you on a journey into discovering what loving Christ is all about.
When not touring throughout the U.S., Andy Cherry is on staff as a worship leader at Forest Hill Church in Charlotte, NC, and CharlotteONE, a city-wide worship gathering for 20-30 somethings.

SNOW PAINTBALL
- $30 will get you: A marker(gun), a mask, a hopper, a CO2 tank with free air 500 paintballs and a referee to organize and lead woodsball and speedball scenarios over a 2 hour period.
- $20 if you bring your own marker, mask, hopper and CO2 tank - COH will still provide you with air and 500 paintballs.
- Only COH paintballs will be used. DO NOT bring your own.
- Rentals available for the first 30 people.
- Bring long sleeves, long pants and neck protection such as a bandanna or turtleneck
- 1 2 hour afternoon session

- Warm clothes (plan for layers), winter coat, snow pants and snow boots.
- Extra Gloves, hats for when things get wet
- Plastic bag to put wet things in.
- Sneakers for use in the gym.
